Script shield and webrep ?
« on: June 11, 2012, 04:58:58 PM »
Hi all ! I really love avast but there are two things that need to be fixed. First the webrep do not show icon on google and the script shield is not working on chrome. Is there a bugfix release that is coming soon? I have a new installed windows 7 sp1 32 bits so i don't think this problem is on my side.  Thanks !

hey what version of chrome you using? usually a reboot of the system usually works. so try that out. that should fix the webrep if not try to re install it by remove it from the avast and then add it again.

what is the problem with the script shield?
Windows 8.1 amd a10-5700 64 bit
12 GB ram 1 tb hard drive. Avast 18, MBAM

Thanks for your help . I'm using chrome 19 latest version. The script shield is not scanning anything, 0 script scanned is it normal? . I have no other security program installed.
Avast latest version 7.0.1426. For the webrep i will reinstall like you said. thanks

The Script Shield is currently NOT working with Chrome 19. Also I think it's not with the latest version of Firefox.
Windows 10 Home 64-bit • Avast Free (latest stable version) •  Malwarebytes 4 Premium (On-Demand) • Windows Firewall Control • Google Chrome • LastPass • CCleaner • O&O ShutUp10 •

Script Shield quit working when Firefox 12 was released, and still doesn't work with Firefox 13.  It also doesn't work with Opera 11.64.  The only time I see any activity with either of those 2 browsers is when I visit a Flash site and then it will trigger on scripting internal to the Flash presentation.  It works fine with IE8, but all IE is used for is updating Windows.
AMD A6-5350M APU with Radeon HD Graphics, 8.0GB RAM, Win7 Pro SP1 64bit, IE11
i7-3610QM 2.3GHZ, 8.0GB Ram,  Nvidia GeForce GT 630M 2GB, Win7 Pro SP1 64bit, IE 11
Common to both: Avast Premium Security 19.7.2388, WinPatrol Plus, SpywareBlaster 5.5, Opera 12.18, Firefox 68.0.2, MBam Free, CCleaner
