I don't want Avast 7 EPS upgrade.. Help!
« on: June 07, 2012, 06:29:07 PM »
Since first june many PC and laptop start to upgrade himself to Avast 7 EPS .. But many of my clients have VPN who are not comaptible with Avast 7 EPS at this time.

Have review many time my Avast console version: 1.1.132.15 to see if something it wrong.
And my mirror client version: 6.0.1438 to see if i not push by error the new version.

And finally this unwanted upgrade didn't come from my console.

And the Major Bug .. Since 2 days all PC/Laptop  who upgade by himself to Avast 7 EPS can't delete or modify any files from the locales drives, all file it locks.

My only solution now is to remove  Avast from all my network.

Help!

What are the VPN that are not compatible with Windows 7?

I have similar issues: Avast console (on SBS 2003) pushed out V7 of the Managed client to several workstations. Those that were notebook computers, runnng Avast V7, suddenly could not save any files to the local drive or netwrok shares. I remove Avast and suddenly all functions normally.

So for now, my solution is to remove Avast from notebook computers that have V7. that leaves them unprotected until Avast comes out wiht an update that will work properly.

Try turning off the auto-sandbox. Even Avast 6 is a bit promiscuous with determining if a program needs to be blocked or not.
