Hey I'm wondering which DNS is best? I'm currently using Norton ConnectSafe.
Real-time protection and Firewall: COMODO Internet Security 12.0.0.6810 -- Additional Protection: Web Of Trust, Ublock, NoScript, Malwarebytes Premium, Avast! Online Security, Hitman Pro -- OS: Windows 10

By all accounts OpenDNS has more widespread DNS servers and is faster. It also has a dashboard function where you can customise what you connect to. I used that for many years without problem, only since I went on to BT Infinity broadband, their router/modem won't allow for a change in the DNS or I would still be using it.

Some other DNS solutions have come along after OpenDNS, personally I still think it is best; I still get their newsletter and they are always developing it and looking at increasing the servers and having them geo-location aware, so you would use the one nearest to you.

+1
I've tried others but not for long. Still find Open DNS to be the best.  :)

I'd like to be able to use OpenDNS here in Australia but there so slow here due to no servers in the country, closest server is Singapore i believe and there still on the same 12 servers being used for the last two years, Norton is a little better here due to having 15 servers now and talk about another two on the way but they also have none in this country which doesn't really help either  :(

Yep I've had the same problem too as craigb said, problem is our broadband company doesn't monitor our internet usages every month if we used OpenDNS or any type of DNS outside of Australia and it doesn't look good to us.

Sometimes our broadband company give us special deals and low prices and more internet service for using their broadband, and if we start using OpenDNS or any type of DNS outside of Australia in most cases we loose our special deals and low prices and more internet service offer by our broadband company.
