AVAST sub to October 2012 - today it's saying expired??!!

I purchased an AVAST subscription in October 2011.
Today, all my virus & update protections are off and there are big messages on my AVAST saying my sub has expired and I need to renew it.

I've emailed AVAST  - but has anyone else encountered such an issue??

No clue why that happened, have you tried reinserting the license file?

Check the system date day/month/year and adjust if required.

Try a repair of avast:
XP - Add Remove programs, select 'avast! Anti-Virus,' click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.

Vista, win7 - Control Panel, Programs & Features, uninstall a program, select 'avast! Anti-Virus,' click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.

You may need to reboot after the repair.
