We'll wait and see if the file is identified as a false positive, and when the database updates whether or not if flags them.

It IS odd though, about putting files in the exceptions but them getting flagged anyway. It can be inconvenient, but I guess I'd rather having it checking...

Amazing. Problem resolved, false positives must have been confirmed as such and changed in the Avast database.

I have never heard or seen of this level of support with this kind of product. Bravo to the avast! team, and thank you to all of the folks who replied and tried to help.
