Is there any way for a person to get notified when Avast releases an update?

You could subscribe (click on NOTIFY) to this thread: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=90820.0
While it is in German, I always post the latest versions/updates there.

Danke!  I subscribed so I will know when new versions are released.  To that end, it looks like you also have changelogs on there.  Do you know where I can find the changelogs in English?

Hi,

what's the problem exactly? You say your status is secured.

Here's a high-level FAQ that I just wrote based on the feedback we have received so far: https://blog.avast.com/2011/12/30/faq-ams

And here's an alternative FAQ on our support site: https://support.avast.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=1034

Enjoy!

Thanks

Given that the post quoted was from Dec 2011 (two and a half years ago), there is a strong likelihood that the avast support FAQ will have been updated.

Try this search link and see if you can find the relevant FAQ in the list http://www.avast.com/faq.php?q=avast+mobile+security#searchForm.

It isn't a subsidiary, it is a competitor ;D

As an avast user, not employee - as far as I'm aware there is no avast! mobile security for the iphone. It is for Android OS currently.

I am able to disarm the Lost/Lock/Siren On features by turning off or restarting the phone. I installed avast! Mobile Security so that I can lock my phone remotely from my.avast.com when the phone is lost. But if the thief can disable the Lost/Lock/Siren On commands by simply restarting or turning off the phone, then a simple app lock secures the phone better. After turning off and restarting the phone, I can still use the phone normally even when the status in my.avast.com indicates the phone is lost & locked, and the siren was disabled after restarting the phone!

Is there anyway to prevent someone from turning off/restarting the phone when the phone is marked Lost/Locked? At least keeps the siren going after restarting ;-)

wonder if it is possible to return to the previous intrerface avast
« Reply #54 on: September 19, 2014, 04:33:27 PM »
Hello everyone. I wonder if it is possible to return to the previous intrerface avast. I can not track my device with precision and location history beyond confusing, is not divided by days.

When accessed through the mobile browser the old interface is displayed but can not eliminate the historical location. This generates a failure that leaves the localizção slow and sometimes does not even appear. Only reappears when I clean the location history by computer (does not work in the mobile browser).

The new interface does not allow this cleanup. I need to access the previous stop using this feature. can help me? I'm from Brazil.

Sou do Brasil.

I also installed Avasnt Mobile Back-up...

It seems to back-up too much??? or without checking some things???

Problem = I have about 200 contacts to back-up, but...
After a few weeks, I see now about 4400 contacts in the list...
Looks like every day, the same contacts are added again...
So they are all the same, copied several times again...
This is realy not normal, see screenshot I added here.

Thanks for solving the problem, or giving a hint to prevent that   :o

When I change my chip from Brazil to a USA chip, the cell phone become 'blocked'.
How can I use both chips (separatelly) whithout have such a problem?
I need to change the chips when travelling, and this is causing me trouble.
