I have no problem with the latest MBAM version on my XP Pro system.

If there are any issues with updating to the new Malwarebytes then uninstall it reboot and run the cleaning tool http://malwarebytes.org/mbam-clean.exe then reinstall latest version.

Other known issues are caused by ZoneAlarm.
