Is there a message from avast? ... if so, what does it say?

What avast program and build number do you have?  right click avast tray icon and select about

Hello Pondus,

Thanks for your answer.
My Avast version is: 17.3.2291 (build 17.3.3443.0)
The Synology Assistant Message is:
Synology Assistant unavailable on the local network:
 1. Look if it is not blocked by the the firewall or by the antivirus...

On the list of recent applications treated by the Avast firewall I've seen that the Synology Assistant is blocked.
I failed  to unblock it.

Thanks again for your attention and help,
Ioan

But what avast?  since you mention firewall i assume it is avast internet security   ;)

Does it work if you turn off avast firewall?

Right, it's Avast Internet security.
I disabled all Avast agents, then on running the Synology; then Windows (?) asked me if I allow to run the Synology Agent program; I answered yes but it still not working.

I revisited the subject and I've seen that if I cut as well the Avast firewall as the Avast antivirus, I'm able to find my Synology access.
Consequently, the solution is on the side of Avast products use, IMHO.
Thanks again if there is a direction for a solution.

Thanks Asyn,

It's important to know that your are not the only one concerned by this problem, but it would be much better if there would be a clean solution for the problem.
