With Snap 5 make certain you select custom install. With quick you will have a new toolbar and default search.
I'm just having hassle actually getting the Snap 5 registration key, their site is an absolute mess. I have fired them off an angry email as to install Snap 5 I had to uninstall Snap as it installs in a different location, so I couldn't save my customisations and then I couldn't bl**dy register it, not a happy bear.
If I remember rightly I had hassle getting Snap 3 registered also.

Yes, I put in my email and clicked on download. it came up with a page asking for all the other information and would not allow a download without every box being filled. Not sure which way you decided to go but the connect with only has two options Work email - and Download button Or Download with LinkedIn button. Obviously if you had a linkedin account all that information on linkedin would be available.

Thanks for that, I have an old paid version of SnagIt on my XP system, it is really great. But it is getting a little long in the tooth and may not like/be compatible win10.Use Google to do your search. :) Lot's of answers under both SnippingTool or Snipping Tool. :)
