Title: Auto Renewal Cancellation Failed?!?!
Post by: REDACTED on March 11, 2018, 05:57:01 AM
Hi, like others on his forum I signed up for the 60 day free trial which expires on March 13th. Today I attempted to CANCEL Auto Renewal by clicking on the link in my Avast Account but all it did was give me a spinning circle, indicating something was happening, then I got a black screen with an error message that suggested I Logout and Login again. I shut the error message window which then showed my account with the still spinning circle. So I Logged Out and Logged In to my account which still showed an active licence that was set to auto renew BUT this time I have NO link to choose to CANCEL AUTO RENEWAL??? Can you please ensure that this renewal does not go ahead. Up to now I have been very impressed with your products but it appears your cancellation process needs a lot of work. Please confirm that this subscription has been cancelled and no attempt will be made to charge my credit card. Thanks, BOB

I've had this problem too. I've tried looking at the support options, but I signed up via my Avast installation, not through any of those companies (I've never even heard of them). I really want to cancel my auto renew, but now I don't even get the option to cancel via on the My Licenses section either! Surely there is a legal requirement to enable cancellation?!

Have you tried it through your my.avast.com account ???

Hi bobg411 and adi_lady,

could you please send me your email (the one you used for purchase/trial registration) so I can check the status of auto-renewal and cancel it if it is still on?
I would also recommend you to send it via PM to keep it private (or use this link to go to the PM directly: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=1245076 (https://forum.avast.com/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=1245076)).

Thank you!

@Stellarma,
You can't attach anything via PM. The user would need to upload it to another upload site like Google Drive etc
and then attach a link in the PM for you to download it.

Hi Bob, sending the email via PM should work. ;)

If we're taking about a copy and paste of the email address, sure.
As I stated you can't attach anything.
