Avast Anti Track premium takes too much CPU and memory, and my computer was almost impossible to use.
Note that I'm using i7-7700 and 32GB memory and using Geforce GTX 1070, Windows 10.
So, I tried to reboot the anti-track and chrome, but still the same.
And then I removed the anti-track chrome extension, and visit the chrome web store, but couldn't find the anti-track extension over there.
After some research, I figured out that the extension only can be installed through Avast Anti-Track itself.
So I opened it up, go to the browser protection(not sure because I'm using the Korean language), and turned on Google Chrome, but the only I got was the unknown error message and it to said ask the support team.
When I turned on Firefox protection, Firefox immediately launched and ask me to install the extension, but the chrome is not.
How do I reinstall the anti-track extension for Google Chrome and why it takes too much of my CPU and memory so that makes my computer literally unusable? >:(

Avast antitrack is taking lots off memory and Taked LOTS OF CPUs...on the other hand AVAST premium is going smoothly.DO something ASAP improving AVAST ANTITRACK PREMIUM.

As far as I know, Google Chrome updates itself. Just for sure, I just checked chrome's version and it's said it's the latest.
It's been almost 2 weeks since I posted this issue and you guys seem like don't interest in my problem. I've used various Avast products over many years and always recommend the products to my friends and my co-workers but this makes me really frustrating and annoying.
A few days ago, I also created a support ticket but no response at all. Seriously, have no idea what is going on.

I am having the CPU and memory problem as well. I was able to uninstall and reinstall the software with the Chrome extension. Did not solve the problem. Even your own website (https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/284/) is not loading because of this issue.
Edit: This problem started right after the last update which Avast changed the user interface of the software and all. I am using Win 10, Intel i7 5700HQ 2.7Ghz, 16 GB, Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M. All updated. I disabled the Chrome extension and shut down the software itself. Avast website is loaded and I saw the suggestions for this problem;
1- Disable website tracking
2- Disable browser protection
3- Disable browser extension
Question: Why am I paying for this software if I have to disable its features to run my computer normally?

Hi,
Concerning the general performance issue with AntiTrack. This bug is being investigated by the developers.
The only workaround would be to temporarily disable Avast AntiTrack.

I had to force a reboot into Safe mode to even be able to uninstall it - even the UAC screen couldn't load its dialog in normal use. AntiTrack made my computer (i5, 16GB RAM, W10) completely unusable, and I will not attempt to reinstall it - it's staying off my computer for good. I can't believe this has been properly tested!
