The advice from De Hollander is good. The attached is from spywarehammer forum
"Something got through my firewall..started getting all kinds of pop-ups about having trojans and viruses......the pop-ups looked like they were coming from OA or Avira...but they weren't.  And then had the IE problem were it won't access the internet...kept getting:   "http:///"

Went through my usual cleaning routine:  MBam then Spybot S&D and then an Avira scan.

MBam found Trojan.FakeAlert
Spybot found Fraud.sysguard
Avira came up clean

After all that IE still wouldn't work.  I ran HijackThis.... found a weird R1

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyServer = http=127.0.0.1:5555

So I "fixed" that.

Afterword I could then access the internet.

Ran all my stuff again -- came up clean.  Thought I was fine.  Next day the wife went to her shopping forum and it all came right back."

You already mentioned fraud.sysguard so I suggest that you backup your data and scan your PC with Superantispyware and Malwarebytes to get a second opinion of your PC.

I have used various firewalls and antivirus but i was sure to uninstall and used a registry cleaner to remove leftover
files etc.

None were active when i installed avast.

In the firewall settings i was told to copy ashwebsv.dll to application rules and set to TCP Port 12080
and i copied iexplorer.exe (internet explorer) and set to Port 80.

I only got access by stopping the web shield.

I noticed that you have opened up many threads on the same issue despite being told in other threads to keep it to one thread:

It helps everyone (Evang. and Avast Team) to keep everything to one thread since they will respond to you in your thread (and sometimes email), but since you are spread out across the forum, this will be difficult.  That is why I posted all your threads so the Team can see where you have been.

I strongly suggest you stay with one (1) thread from now on for one issue as this only creates confusion for everyone including you.  Thank you.
