However, since the worm isn't spread by e-mail, it's quite hard for an antivirus to stop it from penetrating a vulnerable computer. Maybe switching on "Scan created/modified files" in Standard Shield might help a little - but still a part of the worm would be already active in memory when this alert pops up.
Shortly, the only real cure is applying the corresponding Microsoft security patch.
