.DLL problem

I downloaded the program but when i try to install it ... my comp tells me i have a error ( a required .DLL File, ashbase.DLL, was not found) ..... can anyone hlp me with this problem. I dont know what to to do fix it !

Hi April, welcome to the forums.

Using the windows Control Panel > Add Remove programs, select the avast! Antivirus, click on the Change/Remove button. This should open a window with some options, Repair is the one you want. You should be connected to the internet to use the repair function.

If that doesn't work you are limited to and Uninstall, reboot followed by a re-install.

If you can't even install avast, maybe you have a bad downloaded file.
Can you download it again?
