« on: January 10, 2005, 02:16:15 PM »
Both SP2 and avast says I'm having an old Virus data base. I updated it after the warning and it says its up to date. This worries me, i Don't want to restore computer again.

Try a repair of Avast.

start > control panel > add/remove > Avast > change/remove > repair

Ensure that your system date is correct.

There is another thread (active) covering this also.

What is you program version (4.5.561)?
If the repair didn't work, have you tried rebooting since getting the message?

Glad that you have now resolved that issue. I would recommend that you schedule an avast boot-time scan and later run HiJackThis also.

There are occasions when malware tries to change your system date, the above is just to ensure your problem with system date was a glitch and not by design.
