Welcome to forums...
What is the error message that you get?
Which is your operational system? XP? Did you appy SP2?
Do you use a firewall? Which one?

Hi
OS -  xp home. firewall - zonealarm.
got list of done and unable to do.
tried to reinstall same errors.
downloaded setup for third time today. came up different error - unable to locate component MSVCI70. when I said ok, it loaded!
seems to be running ok. but is it?

Can you search the board for MSVCI70 keyword?
If the threads does not help you, can you ask more? Thanks.

msvci70.dll file information : http://www.e-systems.ro/download-dll/msvci70.dll/
Download the dll file MSVCI70.dll for free: http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files.php/dllfiles/M/MSVCI70.dll/download.html

What is the build of avast! you are trying to install - isn't it older than the current version?
