Anti Theft Communication

Hi
I would like to know how Anti Theft communicates with Avast.
Via internet or SMS...because i don't have a sms flat rate.
Does Anti Theft work in a foreign country?

Hello,

where an internet connection is available it always uses it to contact our server.
only in cases of a sim change we always send a sms.

it works in foreign countries if internet and/or sms are available.

Hi, I just switched my Phone into the airplane mode and I got an email, that the SIM card was removed. When I deactivated the airplane mode, I got an email that the SIM has changed (was the same SIM card). Does my device send an SMS to avast or was the communication via internet?

in such cases (SIM card change) we send an SMS, yes.
