Not on proxy, "Downloaded Update is Corrupted"

I installed Avast on Ubuntu 12.04 today, and every update attempt leads to "Downloaded Update is Corrupted".

I've already updated  /etc/sysctl.conf with kernel.shmmax = 128000000, I tried reinstalling avast, and the only threads I can find on this relate to trouble with proxies.  I am not behind a proxy.

I hate to reply to myself.  No sooner did I post this, but I tried again and the update worked.

I'll leave this here for anyone else this happens to.  If you see this, just keep trying.
