Small bug in Avast 7.0.1466
« on: September 16, 2012, 08:29:37 PM »
In the Script Shield logs there is a menu that there should not be there, because the malicious script has been already blocked and no further action is required.
This bug does not exist in other Shield logs, such as the Web Shield.

I agree the drop down actions list has no place in the Shield log which is historic information and not live data.

I believe this is also present in the Scan Computer, Scan Logs, when you open one of the logs (View Results), there are several areas which are active and they too relate to old/completed scans so shouldn't be active.

I had not noticed this bug in the scan logs because nothing malicious has ever been found by an on-demand scan.  ;D
Should we contact avast! team, or do they read the forums?

I only saw in in the logs where I'm testing something, my normal on-demand scans find nothing as I would expect.

Whilst the avast developers do regularly browse the forums, they can't possibly read all topics, but titles like "Small bug in Avast 7.0.1466" may well get a greater chance of being noticed.

It is possible to use the http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php?loadStyles contact form to report problems, though probably not totally correct for reporting bugs, I have used this under the Technical Issues Subject heading.

I used your topic title for that Subject and gave a URL reference back to this forum topic for further information and images.
