Avast 7 Free Edition wont let me navigate...need help
« on: September 23, 2012, 09:00:52 PM »
Good day, I just installed Avast 7 Free Edition on my laptop win 7 pro, service pack 1, 4GbMram 2.4 ghz, 64 bit Intel Core i5, but it wont let me navigate on the explorer or google chrome :(...to do so I have to disable all Avast Shield Control in oprder to navigate, so far it's the only way to do so, can someone tell me how to configure Avast so I do not need to disable all features, thanks.

What antivirus did you have before avast......was your machine delivered with a preinstallled AV ?
Did you uninstall it before installing avast?

What other security software do you have now, or ever had? If uninstalled how was it uninstalled? Did you use the product(s) uninstaller? Here is a list http://singularlabs.com/uninstallers/security-software/ It very well could be a conflict with previously installed anti-virus software.

IMHO I think it's a good idea to clean-up leftovers with CCleaner http://filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/  :)

edit: Pondus you posted just as I was to click "post". Rats.  :)
