Server replied with error code -1 on Anti-Theft install attempts
« on: September 26, 2012, 06:40:34 AM »
I have a rooted Samsung SGH-I997 (Infuse) running 2.3.6  and when I try to setup Anti-Theft I get the above error when at the step where avast! attempts to download the custom installer.  I've tried to do both the Easy and the Advanced installs over both WiFi and HSPA+ data connections with the same result.  I've searched for info about the error and can't find anything about it.  PCAP traces show that I'm talking to the avast servers, they're just not providing any useful information back.   Any clues as to where else to look or what to do?

Thanks!

Hm -1 means that the error reason cannot be discovered. As all over the world customers are regularily installing Anti-Theft on lots of different handsets without problems it seems to be a local issue on your device. Maybe some third party software causing trouble?
