Submitting a file to Virus Lab
« on: December 17, 2013, 07:46:04 AM »
Hi Guys, i have a simple query here.
I want to know if I can send a virus file or log file to Avast 's virus lab for further evaluation.
This is because there are times where Avast could not detect a certain virus but only by using other 3rd party antivirus software.
Is there any ways i can send the virus file or the virus type to Avast to acknowledge on the issue?
Will appreciate on your help and thanks in advance.

You can upload files and report issues to avast  here : http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php  (select subject according to Your case)

You can use mail
send to virus@avast.com in a password protected zip file
mail subject:  False Positive / undetected sample (select subject according to your case)
zip password:  infected

or you can send files from avast chest
how to use the chest.    http://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB21
