Avast continues to repeat 'threat detected'

Avast continues to repeat 'threat detected' on a laptop running Windows 7.  Right now the computer is virtually unusable due to this repeat message and it does not appear to be corrected.  Any suggestions?

attach logs, then help will arrive......it may take hours so be patient
