aswMBR problem.
« on: October 17, 2012, 01:41:42 PM »
So after a scan with AVG (My antivirus) it tells me I got rootkits. I am a total idiot when it comes to rootkits. I manage to remove two and the other two wont budge.
So I restart my computer and got another four rootkits.

After a few google searches I find this: aswMBR
I run quick scan on it and..I think I found rootkits? Now what? When I press fixMBR it tells me my partitions can stop working if I run it. What do I do? Run it anyway?

I run Windows 7 32bit, which for some reason is faked (Bought it from a store)

Log is included as attachment.

Thanks for any help I can get, not sure if the rootkits are dangerous or not but it makes me nervous.

post virus problems in the "virus and worms" forum section

create a new topic there

then follow guide and attach logs....not copy and paste.  http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

AdwCleaner
Malwarebytes
OTL
aswMBR

if you have a AVG log, attach that also.

when done a removal specialist will help you. it may take some hours before he arrive so be patient
