Generate Reports - failed
« on: February 07, 2005, 08:59:13 PM »
Hello,

I have installed ADMN on my NT 4.0 SP6 server and now I have a problem!

When I try to run a report (Generate Infection Reports) I get this error:

07-02-05   20:16:15   1107803775   Avast   291   COM error in repGenerate(): Crystal Reports ActiveX Designer-Invalid TLV record.

I hope you can help me...

Hmm, this is bad... this problem is directly related to the CrystalReports engine (we're using to generate the reports). I tried searching for an explanation/fix but didn't find anything specific. Some users sometimes have problems on NT4 machines, that's for sure... I'll try to do some more investigation.

The solution was:

I downloaded dbghelp.dll from http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?dbghelp to the system32 directory.

Then I executed the command: regsvr32 "c:\program files\common files\crystal decisions\2.5\bin\crqe.dll"

That's it, quite simple.

;D So one day, you woke up and did all this - just like that? ;D ;D
Or what made you think this will help? :)

Thanks
