I think the 60day stats reflect a better current term rate, as it is also using the current avast version and functions/features. http://www.shadowserver.org/wiki/pmwiki.php/AV/Virus60-DayStats
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

yes, they are slow at detecting new malware...
but they have one area where they are best.....close to zero false positives

Avast! has pretty good speed in detecting new stuff...when VT results are around 10 to 15 then avast is normally one of the 18th or 16th scanner to detect it next...which is hardly 35% of scanners detecting it at vt..thats good according to me

I test avast! regularly and it does great job on protection  8)

I can show you more such results that are not detected by XYZ antivirus. :o

Btw,most of the results you showed are already being detected by avast now  ;D

and this sample you showed is corrupt:
https://www.virustotal.com/file/a07e1afba42caff8421f99e167a403bb2e2cb2b623be77838c6f286f17946938/analysis/

and more ever we dont know from which URL's those files came from...A lot of the infections get knocked out by avast network and web shield...example this one isnt detected:
https://www.virustotal.com/file/a830c6750f5b982405f8de5484797ce8db71d5e06b62209218b184e0f77c00a4/analysis/

but the URL from where it comes is being blocked by avast network shield!!!!
