\AppData\Local\BMExplorer (virus?)
« on: December 06, 2012, 09:01:48 PM »
Hi, I just noticed recently this folder and wondered if its bad news.
C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\BMExplorer

and inside there is a sub-folder

C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\BMExplorer\BtFxTemp

I was wondering could this be bad? i do have bluetooth drivers installed. (could it be references to them?)

UPDATE: Just did some research and there are references to a bluetooth management suite known as blue

I have ran a Avast scan and its come up with no threat found. there are also no files inside this folder.

your input on this matter would be greatful and thanks to anyone whom posts back to help.

Oliver

Hi!, Many Thanks for the response, I have looked at the site in question and couldnt upload a file. (there are just folders there and no files im afraid.)

I was concerned about how these folders got there in the first place.

Kind Regards
Oliver

googling the name it seems BMExplorer  comes from Blue Manager Suite / iAnywhere Solutions.

something you know?

Nope, but i did search atheros communications (intergrated bluetooth) and BMExplorer and i have been looking at OTL logs, it seems a common file for bluetooth drivers from this company.

Many Thanks for your response :-)
