ok i will follow your advices ...
i just have 2 extensions

1) Avast WebRep 7.0.1474
2) FreeHDSport.TV 1.2

I guess the second one is more dangerous...
but i will try..

I removed both extensions....and i dont see any signs of problems.

I thought I had removed the freehdsport as that is a known bad one...  my apologies for being a numpty

So i can switch on avast again
and turn the freehdsport off for ever.

Yes do that if you wish but, you can delete it permanently it is in this location
C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\bgnnidmnbdkmhfkjgdnngciimpdgohok

I have just checked the fix results from the first run and we had removed it, so one of the videos that you watched on youtube was infected

cannot find that directory in admin there is not local settings....i will search further.

searched for that file name and i found 3 things

- a directory bgnnidmnbdkmhfkjgdnngciimpdgohok
-  a file chrome-extension_bgnnidmnbdkmhfkjgdnngciimpdgohok_0.localstorage
- and another file chrome-extension_bgnnidmnbdkmhfkjgdnngciimpdgohok_0.localstorage-journal

can i delete them?
