Want to change back to free version

By mistake I installed  the pro version of avast started and do not want it. I have always had the free version installed .How do I go back to the free version? . When I click on my avast icon in the task bar i get a whole new box saying i only have 18 days left in the trial version. I thought I was just installing an update for the free version. Please Help.

Why don't you make a new installation from scratch (uninstall > boot > install > boot)?
