Whilst some would be happy with automatic renewal, I fear they are in a tiny minority with the greatest majority against automatic renewal. I remember the fire storms when Norton/Symantec did this automatic renewal credit card charge. But it only became noticeable when the next annual charge was made and caused huge bad feeling.
Why do they need More Information, isn't it pretty clear what Renewal: Automatic is; this very important fact shouldn't be opted-in and buried under another layer to opt-out. These pre selected opt-in options are spreading like a cancer.
Things like this must be clear, visible on the main payments page and not be pre-selected opt-in to avoid accidental use or omission resulting in an automatic payment next year.
That really is bad form as we are now seeing the tip of the iceberg (those coming to the forums to question it), with many not bothering to renew this year much less automatic renewal for next year, so you lose out twice.
