hi everyone,
out of interested i ran avast half an hour ago, as i had only been on the net twice since my last scan, and low and behold......another poxy virus! infact, i didnt even have chance to run a propper scan. you know when you get avast going it goes through a memory check?, well it came back to me then that the memory is infected. once with the other virus i posted about before (win32:zins, which i still havent got around to dealing with) and now this new one.

why? i just dont get it. ive hardly looked at the pc, let alone trawl the web for hours on end! i wish i was tecnicaly minded, at least then i might understand....
anyway, as with the other virus its not being repaired and cant be put into the virus chest. its in c:\windows\shch.exe
i realise that i have been given a lot of advice on how to deal with these dam things, but would appreciate any simply put info on what why and how they come to be in my system!
at least this new one is listed on this website! makes me feel less alone!
