Since I loaded Windows 8, I've been unable to access my Iomega Home Media NAS Drive. I had assumed it was a Windows 8 problem but having done a lot of Googling, I found one other post on the internet with the same problem. The guy was more persistent in fault finding than me and he found it to be the combination of Windows 8 with Avast. I disabled Avast and following a Router restart, I immediately had access to my NAS. I wondered if this is a known problem and if there is a workround.
