TrojanDownloader:Win32/Adload.DA Virus
« on: December 30, 2012, 10:03:38 PM »
Yesterday i visited a website, which i thought would be ok then an Avast pop-up message appeared saying that TrojanDownloader:Win32/Adload.DA Virus has been blocked so i closed the webpage.

Now, Windows Action Centre is telling me I need to remove the virus, but as far as I am aware Avast already blocked it so there is nothing to remove :s

I am doing a quick scan just to be sure, but am pretty sure nothing is going to come up!

Please see attached screenshot.

Is this just a Windows not realising that Avast has already blocked the threat?

Also, I understand that a Quick Scan should suffice. Is a Full System Scan ever really needed? Avast usually blocks viruses/malware before they have a chance to get on the system. In what circumstances would a full system scan be required?
Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) SP1,
Intel Core i5-2410M @2.30GHz, 6GB RAM
AvastFree Antivirus & ZoneAlarm Free.

I have Windows Defender disabled and I am pretty sure that when the red Avast pop up appeared it said the exact same thing i.e. TrojanDownloader:Win32/Adload.DA Virus

I could be wrong as I didn't really study it that much i just closed the website that Avast warned me against.

Is there a way I can check the last threat blocked via Avast?

**Update: Ok, just check via Avast account and it gave this as last infected file HTML:RedirDL-inf [Trj]
