blocks my HTTP access again.

avast! blocks my http access again.
i couldn't visit any http:// websites in any browser, IE, FF, CHROME, etc..
the statusbar kept showing "waiting for http://xxx..", and nothing happened.
but i can visit https:// websites. so my internet access is just fine.

what kind of issue would trigger that protection?

if i disable avast!'s protection, my http access works.

i've reinstalled my system, and this situation comes up again.

my system is WINDOWS 8 PRO X64, avast! 7.0.1474, virus-lib ver 130118-1

someone plz help me?

Avast (free, don't know what you are using) is not a firewall and as such doesn't block (unless you specifically set a site block), it scans content and alerts to infection and or known malicious sites, it doesn't block.

The more common instance is that the avast web shield is being blocked by a firewall:
What is your firewall ?
Does it allow avastSvc.exe internet access ?
- If it does delete the entry for it and reconnect to the internet, this should force the firewall to ask permission again.

What do you mean by you have reinstalled your system (format and reinstall OS, etc. etc.) ?

Have (or did) you another Anti-Virus installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?

hello.
I am using avast! free.
about the firewall, I was just using the windows firewall, didn't install a 3rd-providing firewall. I install Avast! free after installed the os(yeah, i mean format the system partition and reinstall the os.). There was  no notification coming up while avast! ran. and i choosed "allow" for each notification from the windows firewall. so i supposed that avastsvc.exe had internet access.

I had installed another so kind anti-virus software. QQPCManager, is that the problem? but the phenomenon is that since i disabled the avast!'s protection, i could access http websites... That QQPCManager might not support english, i'll keep testing that if the problem comes up after i uninstall that QQPCMGR.

Having two resident anti-virus scanners installed is one too many and not recommended as rather than provide twice the protection it can cause conflicts that could leave you more vulnerable.

So you should fully uninstall the other AV, by removing the conflict, which appears to be happening there is no issue, e.g. disabling avast removes one side of the conflict and no problem.

i'll try.
but i've use these two softwares for over 3years, this problem just comes up suddenly, about weeks ago.

would you please contact TENCENT co. for this issue? i love these two softs, use them for different features.

do you guys need any logs for this problem ? i'll help.
