you can disable it in the Settings. It won't disable the app, just the self-defense won't be that good.

How is that notification involved in the self defense?
From my point having it on makes the whole conceal efforts pointless as anyone stealing that phone gets a message that there is avast installed.
So, what is the notification doing besides notifying that is more important than to hide the app?

Hi,

we are talking about Mobile Security notification, not Anti-Theft's. These are separate applications and have separate icons. Anti-Theft shows its icon only when an update is available (and when it is appropriate to show it).

Hello there,
I was trying to remove the going on notification that Avast is active, just want to remove the symbol on the upper side of my screen. But in the 'settings' I cannot find where to change this setting.
Maybe someone can tell me where I can change this specifically?

Settings -> Notification icon -> None
