Anti-theft- Mobile Security relationship.
« on: February 17, 2013, 08:33:36 PM »
Hello,
I am very happy about Anti-Theft, it is pretty much what I was looking for. However, I don´t really have a need for an antivirus software in my phone (which is memory limited), and I am afraid that Mobile Security is using resources  that I would rather not use.
Can somebody tell me if there is a way to separate the antivirus and anti-theft sections of this program, in order to only use Anti-theft? Or a way to configure the anti-virus to pretty much stay dormant, not using any resources? Or maybe my worries are unfounded, and the antivirus is not really soaking up a significant amount of resources, and I should leave it alone, forgetting about it...

Thank you,
Regards,

Yes, that's possible.
After installing AMS and AAT you can remove AMS and only use AAT.
W8.1 [x64] - Avast Free AV 23.3.8047.BC [UI.757] - Firefox ESR 102.9 [NS/uBO/PB] - Thunderbird 102.9.1
Avast-Tools: Secure Browser 109.0 - Cleanup 23.1 - SecureLine 5.18 - DriverUpdater 23.1 - CCleaner 6.01

OK, thank you for your answer.
Now, how can I access AAT after uninstalling AMS? I can only get to AAT through AMS.

After uninstalling AMS, AAT works, but after a week, it "dissapears", I can not control it via SMS/web, application is not running anymore. I am running a custom ROM and the last thing I can remember last week is flashing a new kernel only.

Any idea?
