Commands vs. fake APN
« on: March 06, 2013, 09:00:27 PM »
Hello, I just have installed Avast Anti-Theft and I'm testing commans. I found out that commands cannot be send via avast website if my Galaxy SIII is not connected to WiFi. I have Mobile data turned on all the time but I set fake APN to avoid unwanted internet conection and extra costs and to be able to send MMS messages at the same time. My question is - if I lost my phone, is there any way to send any commands even if my APN is still incorrect? Will sms commands work in such case and will my mobile phone send back the localization?

Thank you very much for the answer. So SMS commands are free no matter where I'm from?

Well you have to pay for the messages themselves (and their responses) based on your carrier plan.
