Help medfos Trojan
« on: March 11, 2013, 10:52:19 AM »
I am having a problem with several Trojan viruses on my computer.
It was not detected by my avast, but when I ran malware bytes it came up with several different Trojans.
The only one I was able to remember was a medfos Trojan.
My computer is no longer able to access the Internet as it keeps displaying an error
And now even basic things like trying to open my malware bytes log freezes the computer.
Any help with this would be appreciated , however I may have trouble running scans as my computer just keeps freezing.

Download the tools on the device you use right now.
Try to run them in safe mode on your infected machine.

  • When finished, it shall produce a log for you.
  • Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.[/b]
Notes:
1. Do not mouse-click Combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.
2. Do not "re-run" Combofix. If you have a problem, reply back for further instructions.

3.  If after the reboot you get errors about programmes being marked for deletion then reboot, that will cure it.

Please make sure you include the combo fix log in your next reply as well as describe how your computer is running now

your malwarebytes log say "no action taken".  did you click remove selected after scan?
update malwarebytes run new quick scan, attach new log

Essexboy will be back after work hours UK time.   ;)

here is the new one

also everytime that a start my computer a message pops up saying:
There was a problem starting
C:\users\BCC\AppData\Roaming\ethsef.dll
the specific module could not be found.

im not sure what this means though or if its important, but it appears whenever I boot the computer.
