Registration issues- need HELP please

Hi. I recently recommended Avast to two friends of mine. I suggested they try it out before they purchase it so they went with the free version. I have so far experienced two issue trying to register the program for them...

1. Their names and email addresses are put in, but the program never makes a connection to finish the registration process.

2. This is a new issue. On Windows 7 64 bit I selected register now and it just spins at "Retrieving information, please wait" and then... NOTHING. The screen just disappears and is back at the "Register Now" button.

Registration can't be completed or even started for that matter. What's up? Help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you. Tried the key route a few days ago with 2 different email addresses and still have not received a key. LOL! Unreal.
