I am only on for another 30 minutes or so but adwCleaner should get the majority of it

Hey.

I downloaded OTL and followed instructions i.e. link you put up but I cant attach OTL logs after the scan. Does this really matter?

Hey,

I am sorry I don't know how to attach it. The OTL logs are on my desktop along with the OTL programme. I tried to follow the attach instructions but I cant find where I am supposed to attach the logs.

Thanks John

Hey,

I am sorry you must think I am an idiot. I didn't realize I was attaching the logs and posting them back to you. I was trying to find something on my pc.

Anyway logs are attached.

Not a problem, if it is something you are unused to then how are you going to know  ;D

Once this has run could you let me know of any outstanding problems

Warning This fix is only relevant for this system and no other, using on another computer may cause problems

Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot

Run OTL
  • Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following

Code: [Select]
:OTL
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {6C680BAE-655C-4E3D-8FC4-E6A520C3D928} - No CLSID value found.

:Commands
[resethosts]
[emptytemp]
[CREATERESTOREPOINT]
[Reboot]
  • Then click the Run Fix button at the top
  • Let the program run unhindered, reboot the PC when it is done
  • Open OTL again and click the Quick Scan button. Post the log it produces in your next reply.
