How to disable requests to update other software?

I like Avast a lot. However, for the last week or thereabouts, Avast keeps asking me to update Firefox and Opera. I only update Firefox when I know my most important add-ons will work with the update. Is there a way to disable these reminders which pop up throughout the day.

I'm currently using Avast! Free Antivirus v8.0.1483.
