I'm not a computer nerd, basically know how to turn it on and use a few programs.  I have the avast - basic (free) virus blocker installed on my computer and basically it did it's job of stopping / blocking a virus / viruses.  now all i have happening is that i keep getting pop - ups every couple of seconds stating " malicious url blocked. "  how do i get rid of these pop ups that are so annoying and distracting.  thanks for any help you may be able to provide this computer dummy.
