Hey everyone,
I was preforming scan yesterday (boot scan) and avast! found a win 32 Trojan-gen
C:\SwSetup\ESUW7\ESUSetupRM.msi|>...|._7044ADBC9C0E46FB9518803B0831C1D was the file name where it was found.
The issue was that I can't do anything with it. It will not let me delete it, move it to the chest, or repair so I am not sure if really what to do. When I went to check the report avast! said that the "specific file could not be found"
However I have run a full system scan (not a boot scan) avast could not find the Trojan. So now I am not sure if this is false-positive or if it is just so buried that the regular scan just cant find it.
Avast! has been finding a Win 32: at least once a month now and this was the first time that it has said it cant remove it or fix so i think it is just the same thing coming back in new files every time. I am really not tech-savy so any help to finally fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
