Update licence

I use Avast!4.6 Home which I recently upgraded. I am receiving warnings about "Update Licence" expiring soon. What is this licence and how is it renewed. My Home edition is registered. The warnings do not explain remedial action to be taken to the "Update Licence". Please help.

Upgraded? do you  mean you upgraded to the avast Pro version?

What does the warning say?

At the end of the trial period (60 days) you need to register on-line at avast.com once registered avast will send you an email with your registration key, this you enter in the relevant place. Right click the avast icon and click About avast!...

By upgrade I mean upgrade from earlier version to 4.6 Home Free edition (not Pro).

This shouldn't produce a warning to update your license, unless you were already close to that requirement before the update to 4.6.

Check your system date (systray clock) especialy the year. You have to register after 60 days on the trial version and re-register after 14 months with the home version.

How long have you had avast4home? Have you registered on-line and have you received an email with your registration key? - if you have enter that as suggested above.
