Pop up messages

Hi

I keep getting a popup message from avast saying:

'Internet Connection timeout elapsed. Continue waiting?'

There is then the option to hit 'yes' or 'no'.  No matter which one I press, the message keeps coming up again.  I've been using avast for mearly a year now and I haven't altered any of the settings - why has this happened so suddenly?

Windows XP SP2
Avast Home 4.6.623
Default Browser - Mozilla Firefox
Default Email - Mozilla Thunderbird

Try disabling the webshield and see if that helps

Try disabling the webshield and see if that helps

This only bypasses the problem and doesn't attempt to identify and resolve the problem.

Was this from your browser or email program?
If it was from your email program, try extending the delay.

What firewall are you using?
Does ashWebSv.exe and ashMaiSv.exe have permission access to the internet?
