virus on msrexe

Hi, I have a virus detection on one program and won't let me fix it or deleted. What can I do? The progam name is msrexe. Can anyone with good knowledge tell me how can I take it off my system. Virus name win32 jeet trojan

Hm, that the Name Kaspersky gave? Anyway, you can delete or better first rename the file in safe mode. Maybe you have to search the Registry for references to the filename (msrexe.exe?)

are you still having problems deleting it? check the running processes in the background and kill the task that says MSREXE.exe and then go to your system folder and delete the file MSREXE.exe (in windows xp it is the system32 folder) you may also look for a file it may have created called msdos.exe or wondos.exe. (it changes sometimes.) I hope that helps you.  P.S. just in case you don't know how to check the running processes, just press CTL+ALT+DELETE and it will show all processes running in the background
