Avast didn't detect this.
« on: June 13, 2013, 07:23:23 AM »
From what is happening in my laptop, I can be sure that it is some form of virus/malware. But none of the antiviruses have been able to detect it. What it does is it creates multiple icons of 'windows updater' in the system tray(see attached image.) The number of these icons keep increasing with time. But they disappear if I take the mouse pointer over them. Also I had my settings to show extension of files. But this setting keeps changing to hide.
Someone please help.

I don't have more than one installed. But I tried more than one.
Anyways, I found a similar discussion in a topic and got it fixed. Thank you so much for your concern. :) :)
