Mail provider bug ?
« on: September 23, 2003, 03:36:22 PM »
I'm using avast! 4.1 (home edition) and I ran into a annoying problem recently: if I leave my mail reader open, with the mail scanner running,  as soon as I receive a virus via email (say Swen for example - I received lots of them !), avast! detects it, pops up a window asking me what to do, I select delete, everything works fine. So far so good.

Now if for some reason, I leave the confirmation window open for a while (I don't know how long, though), then come back to my computer and see the window on my screen, when I click on delete to clean the infected mesage, I get the following error message:
"avast!: Specified file cannot be found
Cannot process C:\...\Temp\_avast4_\unp21314\ffzwdm.exe file"

I click the "OK" button... and the confirmation box pops up again. I'm trapped in a loop here: click delete, error message, ok, confirmation box, click delete, etc.

As I said, I'm using avast! 4.1, Thunderbird 0.2 as a mail reader, under Windows XP.

Any idea about that ?
