Avast giving false positive to my software.
« on: August 05, 2013, 05:15:50 PM »
Avast software is blocking my customers from downloading and/or installing my software, just released to the public on August 2nd. Avast is the ONLY antivirus software giving this false-positive to my files (not even Norton is giving a positive and Norton gives a positive on EVERYTHING).

I tried using http://www.avast.com/en-us/contact-form.php but it gives a "server timed out" when submitting a file. I then tried calling your so-called customer service, which stated that a false-positive can only be reported through http://www.avast.com/en-us/contact-form.php and that I will have to wait for Avast to fix their web-servers.

Considering the massive lack of quality in your software and on your web pages (seriously, a contact form that times out a server?), I am left with no choice but to advertise on my eCommerce site to all my current and future customers to UNINSTALL AVAST and DO NOT INSTALL AVAST software due to it's poor quality in both software coding and customer service. I will instead refer them to other anti-virus software.

I will remove this advertisement once I am contact by Avast employee (my email can be viewed by forum admin) who can actually fix the Avast software (I'm not holding my breath)

Safely posting the link to the site being blocked can help. Use hxxp to make the link un-clickable.
