GUI for Avast Linux
« on: September 29, 2003, 05:34:04 PM »
I am finally moving everything over to Mandrake, and away from Windows.   Although I come from the command-line era, and have no problem working with the command-line, I only know of one antivirus app for Linux that has a GUI.  Having this feature, would certainly be appreciated for users that are migrating from Windows and want something as easy as your Windows products.

Since there are many Linux distros (Mandrake, Red Hat, Suse) that are moving more toward the GUI interface, along with the robust command-line, will there ever be a GUI front-end to go along with the command-line scanner for Linux?

Will this GUI have capabilities to help setup on mail servers?  I am trying to set up a hacked "mail server" on our home network to block inappropriate materials from the kids.

Instructions to setup mail servers will be in textual HOWTO files.
